This work involves categorizing art into four groups that mirror Germany’s waste classification system. We replaced the labels on the garbage bins and positioned them outside the gallery.
In this work, we examine the reductive impact of labels in the art world—how they shape how we present and market ourselves as artists, and the type of art we produce.
Esta obra consiste en clasificar el arte en cuatro grupos que reflejan el sistema de clasificación de residuos de Alemania. Reemplazamos las etiquetas en los contenedores de basura y los colocamos afuera de la galería.
En esta obra, reflexionamos sobre el papel reductivo de las etiquetas en el mundo del arte: cómo nos presentamos y nos promocionamos como artistas y qué tipo de arte producimos.
